More Pokemon goods
Both of these are from Kotaku. A pair of Nike sneakers with Pikachu colored over them (someone's custom job) and Pokemon boxed milk for kids. With a Pokemon sticker! Why does Pokemon food entice me so?
3DS ousells every other Nintendo portable on day 1
"Nintendo worked hard to get as much product as possible to retailers on day one to meet demand, and we will continue with these efforts moving forward." - Nintendo statement
According to the site, Nintendo has said that 3DS sold more than any other Nintendo portable system on its first day in the US. More than the GBA. More than original Game Boy. Now that's a feat you don't see everyday!
Needs more sales numbers though.

Going to school in Japan would be so awesome...
Imagine being surrounded by Pokemon no matter what you're doing. Heaven.

Things you don't know about Isiah 'Triforce' Johnson
- Triforce actually had the word 'Triforce' added to his real name, legally making him Isaiah-Triforce Johnson <----EPIC. FREAKING. WIN.
- Triforce waited outside of Times Square Toys “R” Us for nine straight days to be the first to buy a Wii
- Triforce heads home for a couple of hours every day to clean up and get a bite to eat
- Triforce has to leave the Best Buy and set up camp outside every night
- Triforce is actually a professional gamer, which is how he can take off of work for events like this
- Triforce has appeared on a few MTV reality shows and is featured prominently in a new documentary film called King of Chinatown, all for his gaming
- Why Triforce is out in line when he already has a 3DS preorder: “Out of a tradition I gotta keep, I gotta stand first in line. Think of it like a war game.”

Lining up one week to buy a 3DS
Isaiah "TriForce" Johnson is doing it again. Remember the first person to buy a Wii and a copy of Twilight Princess? And had theconsole signed personally by Reggie? This is the guy. Although he's already long pre-ordered his 3DS, it's always been a tradition of his to line up outside the store whenever there's a new Nintendo console. I doubt you'll find a more hardcore gaming fan than him. He's making videos daily and uploading them to Youtube, all the while being right in front of a Best Buy. Not even going off for a shower or whatever.
He's run into problems with security though.

5 things I really like about Pokemon Black/White
I've talked about all the things in the latest Pokemon versions that grinds my gears, now I'll be taking things in a more positive light, cause it's because of these 5 things below that keep me occupied from the beginning to the end, and it's because of some of these that made me so excited for 5th gen in the first place. Oh, did I mention this is one of the most well-executed Pokemon games ever made? If you don't consider the 'third version' games, of course. Those are always better than the first two, no questions asked.

Nintendo 3DS midnight launch in NYC
Big stuff is happening at Nintendo World on 12.00 am, March 26 2011. Hopefully I can catch a live stream of the event or something...this is something I don't want to miss!

Dragon Quest Rocket Slime 3DS magazine scan 2
Finally, a full-page scan of adorable Slimes (click to see full-size). Coming out in Winter 2011 in Japan! Can't wait...Other than the fact Rocket Slime 2 is going to be based around pirate ships not much is known about the game, but it should be the same gameplay we saw back on DS. Also, V-Jump is holding a contest for Slime Mori Mori fans to design a pirate ship for the game, and needless to say the winner will have his/her creation in the game!

R4 3DS flashcard
And so the cycle continues. Wonder if Nintendo's piracy-breaking measures will be able to take this out? Or have the R4 guys been wising up, again?
Then again there hasn't been any 3DS ROMs yet so the flashcart is still pretty worthless.

5 things I didn't like about Pokemon Black/White
If you're the type to delve very deep however, you might find more than one thing to nitpick on in Pokemon B/W, which will almost always be rectified by the 'third game'. A few elements which I didn't like in the game:

Dragon Quest Rocket Slime 3DS magazine scan
Fans of DQ Heroes: Rocket Slime are going to lap this up. Actual screenshots this time! Pirate ships replace the giant tanks from before, and things look a lot less pixelated than the DS original (or what is part 2 in JP) *prays for localization*

Biggest AR card ever
First, we saw that you could make the AR cards bigger or smaller and still have the 3DS detect it. Then people started going mad with them, making 4-foot tall Miis and later, 10-foot tall Miis. Now this is taking it to insane heights, with a Mii at aroind 215 feet tall, generated from a really, really, really big AR card made out of 256 sheets of A3 paper! Or as the video puts it into better perspective, 7160 times larger than a regular AR card!
I really want to see how far people will take this. Maybe project an AR card from the Moon and make it seem like the Mii's destroying the Earth?

Nintendomino
Exactly as random as you think it is- a Japanese fellow lines up all his NES and SNES games in a line and topple them over. Someone has way too much free time.
The actual toppling over is in the first 40 seconds or so of the video, the rest is him showing off the entire game collection.

Lego Pikmin
Holy crap, almost every enemy and boss character in the series too, created perfectly out of Lego! The person who made this must probably eat, sleep and breathe Lego all day. From GoNintendo

Dragon Quest Rocket Slime 3DS
Coming out at the end of this year for Nintendo 3DS! Granted, it's the Japanese version, but there's no way this is not going to be localized. Not after the first Rocket Slime (Slime Mori Mori 2 in Japan) was met with such rousing success. I still remember the great moments I had with it...Bring on the slimes!
From the title, apparently the tank battles in the original will be all here, except this time you're using pirate ships. Yep, we're going out to sea. It even has multiplayer, Wi-Fi and SpotPass support!
Other than the teaser site which Square Enix put up just today, there's not much to go on, but we should get more info down the road.

Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition US advert
So long, Wii-style 'family playing in the living room together and all having fake smiles and exaggerated movement' ads, back to normalcy for the rest of us. All in face-punching 3D!

Or, what would SMB become if it had the sound effects of God of War. MY ARM!
Lot more samples of this below, including Tetris and Contra (which got a really funny Call of Duty makeover)

NIntendo HQ is safe
Thanks for your concern! During the earthquake no one at Nintendo in Japan was injured and there was no apparent structural damage.
Business as usual then. Still, it's a tragic disaster, really, really bad.

Pokemon B/W Game Art Folio
Ever wanted to own a set of Pokemon official art but never could because Nintendo never actually made any? Finally, we have something from Pokemon B/W.
It's a folio of many big pullout cards of the many Pokemon Black/White official art pieces, like the starters and their evolutions, the three monkey Pokemon, Pokemon Contest, Castelia City, that kind of graphics. Stuff we've all seen before on the net but could never get a high-quality printout of, if you're into that sort of thing.
This bare-bones art folio comes with a reasonable price of just $7.99. Lots of people who pre-ordered B/W have gotten this for free in the mail. Better start lurking on eBay.
Full set of pictures here.

Super Mario game for 3DS
Or rather, just the logo projected onto a giant screen behind the ever-talkative Iwata. Looks clean and modern just the way it should be. Something's projecting out of the O at the end though....Tanooki Mario?
There are screenshots though. Looks like we'll be getting a brand-new 3D Mario. Rejoice!

So pleasant surprise that Flux is going to be revisiting home ground one last time before the series ends. More Pong-style crazy difficult gameplay!

3DS First Firmware Update in Japan
...Doesn't bring in many new features (Internet browser, 3DShop and DSiWare transfer will be released on May, remember?), but does include one cool 3D video of Super Mario Bros, which makes for some great eye candy. Better than that 'Nintendo DSi + Internet' guide video from before.
