Well according to what I got from GoNintendo the 3DS is codenamed 'Nintendo CTR' and does not use the Tegra chip from Nvidia. I don't know if it's a bad move on their part, but are they using a more powerful chip? I can't begin to imagine, what with all these rumors floating around.
The FFC board (remember that test board thing a month ago?) should be the real 3DS, which means the top screen is indeed 16:9. Good news then- maybe the 3DS will be powerful enough to handle HD after all. A Japanese company will be in charge of its accelerometers, to counter Apple's own.
I'm getting more and more intrigued. E3 can't come soon enough. It's in a few more days too.
