ArtStyle: Light Trax

Written by pikaby

Probably the first in the ArtStyle series that isn't a puzzle game, this Wiiware title has you controlling a line of light, racing other lines. It's actually a remade version of bitGenerations game Dotstream, which has a similar concept. None is known about the release date or how many points it will cost, but I can keep updated on this game. Simple, trippy games like this don't escape my attention :)

Pikachu-colored Pichu out in Europe!

Written by pikaby

A screenshot taken from the official Pokemon Heart Gold/Soul Silver website! Yes, European Pokemon players can now get their hands on the Pikachu-colored Pichu that's already distributed in Japan and the US!

Except.....Japanese could only get it by buying Arceus movie tickets, and US players could only get it in Toys 'R Us, and both may involve driving miles to get to the destination.

Final Fantasy XIII reviews

Written by pikaby

'Wait, what's this doing here?'

Hey, I don't talk shop all the time, if anything in the world of gaming catches my interest I'll post it up. Although, I'll keep Nintendo as a focus, you can be sure of that.

Anyway the collective review scores from metacritic for Final Fantasy XIII, for the PS3...

Not the perfect Game of the Century after all, but still pretty good.

Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth Review

Written by pikaby

HOLD IT!

If you're reading this review and you haven't played all three Phoenix Wright games(discounting Apollo Justice), stop right there. For although Investigations eases you in to a completely separate story and gives you insight on reappearing characters from those previous games in here, you just won't get a full appreciation for this game. My advice is to get those three, which should be cheap now since they're quite a few years old, and play them through from number one up. Trust me, it's an investment worth spending on.

Spam Lightan

Gold Lightan from Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, lovingly recreated in his true form. The only Gold Lightans I've ever seen in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom don't really play fair, all they do is spam attacks, the most common one being the light jab or jumping and stomping. All characters except the other giant robot, PTX-40A, flinches without fail at his powerful moves.

All you do is JAB, JAB, JAB, the enemy won't even be able to attack, and Lightan can disrupt anyone in the middle of any super move.....This guy is friggin invincible. It's enough to make me rage.

Of course, if you're one of the pro types you'll most likely find a way around Spam Lightan, but he's hard to tackle with if you're not skilled enough. Why isn't PTX-40A spam? He's just a little bit harder to use than Gold Lightan, and a bit slower. But his moves pack more punch.

Pictorial guide to the New Mt. Silver

Written by pikaby

Remember Mt. Silver in the original Pokemon Gold/Silver games? Of course you do, after all it's the FINAL final area you'll open up after getting all 16 Gym badges(and which still makes G/S the longest games in the series) and at the summit is Red, the greatest trainer in the two lands. His team has slightly changed in Heart Gold/Soul Silver, but I'm not going into that here....All I will say is he's still just as ass-kicking hard to beat if your team is below Level 80. Pikachu is still a pushover though.

The thing about Mt. Silver now....it's been completely redesigned for the new games! Why? Rock Climb, that's why. Parts of Mt. Silver has been made so rock faces can be climbed on using the new HM move. Oh, but it's not just that, the whole mountain has been given a rework, and it surprised me a lot. It's like another new area entirely! They never had this back in Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen.
