Girl gets free DS from Nintendo Part 2

Written by pikaby

It's in the local news and it's confirmed to be true- little miss Helen got her wish from NoAu and received a free DS in the mail. And naturally together with this comes a warning to all future potential freeloaders who want free DSes from Nintendo.

"Nintendo always calls the school, hospital, retirement home, or whatever it may be to ensure the letter is legitimate," Nintendo Australia's PR rep Heather Murphy told News. "In this particular case, Nintendo called the school and spoke to the school principal."

After a little chat with the principal, NoAu sent her a DS and a game suitable for children's play. I bet it wasn't Brain Age or New Super Mario Bros or *shock* Imagine: Babiez (urgh).

Murphy, in response to the giveaway, said: "Nintendo does not routinely give away products in response to letters. From time to time, we may donate product to schools, hospitals or retirement villages".

So put your pens away, Nintendo's not going to give you anything for free unless it's Photo Dojo.
