Pokemon World Championships 2010

Written by pikaby

What is it about not being in the US or UK that makes me feel left out all the time? Oh yeah, stuff like this.

The annual Pokemon battling ritual has begun and it's taking place in the major regions as usual, launching in Seattle and continuing through June, and the finals in August, in sunny Hawaii. Can't they have like, an online tourney or something? Oh yeah, that wouldn't be half as fun as journeying halfway across the world for Pokemon.

The rules are as usual, and the banned Pokemon are...only a handful of legendaries.

Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus. Hey, those are only the event legendaries! What happened to banning the rest of the Uber class Pokemon? They're on a separate sheet of the rules, it seems, and you may not bring more than two on your team out of the Ubers. The notorious non-legends, Garchomp, Blissey and Wobbuffet are not on the list though, so you can expect people to exploit these three Pokemon ten times over.

One more thing! If you're attending the event you'll be getting a Shiny Eevee. That's gotta be worth it, right? I love event Pokemon.
