Gamespot gives 8.0 score for Monster Hunter Tri

Written by pikaby

And Gamespot finally reviews the week-old and highly anticipated Monster Hunter Tri for the Nintendo Wii. Gee, that's a lower score than I'd expected, but hey, this is Gamespot. They have high standards. Not that they have given ANY Wii game anything beyond 8.5 for a year now. Come on, the Wii isn't that bad.

Check other critic scores and Gamespot is actually hovering around the average aggregate. What could go wrong with Tri? Great graphics, tense and exciting boss battles, best online system ever done on Wii. Gamespot cited the use of the Wiimote and long animations as drawbacks. I haven't played the game yet so I can't say for sure though.

But whatever, no other Monster Hunter has made such a splash anywhere outside of Japan. Even if this isn't excellent, it's a good start.

Gamespot's review.
