Taiko no Tatsujin DS 3: Dororon! Yokai Dai Kessen!

Written by pikaby

NEW TAIKO NO TATSUJIN GAME. But not on the Wii, it's back to selling big on the DS.

I....want to go crazy here but I....*goes nuts*

WOOOOOOOOO *screams*

*punches holes in the wall*

*gets thrown out of the house and continues to punch holes on the wall outside*

*calms down*

Details if you hit 'Read more'! Taiko no Tatsujin megafans alert! This is one you can't miss importing!
For the uninitiated, this is the 3rd Taiko no Tatsujin DS game. Namco stopped on the 2nd game to make two games for the Nintendo Wii, and now the series makes a return to the portable, which is good news for importing fans since the DS can play Japanese games and the Wii can't.

So far 22 songs have been revealed out of the total of 50 songs(come on Namco, can't you add more? 50 looks like a poor man's selection after you did 80 songs on the Wii), not just the ones in the scan above, there are a few more. The song list looks pretty scarce this time around, but I'm holding my breath until the Namco Original songs are revealed. The ones in bold are the ones I can't wait to play.

Anime:
Gake no Ue no Ponyo (Ponyo theme song, w00t!)
My Neighbor Totoro (two Ghibli songs in one game. Can you stand the awesomeness?)
Saikou Everyday (3rd Pokemon D/P opening)
Alright! Heart Catch Precure! (can't there be a Taiko game without a Precure theme song? And how many are there?)
Sign (from Naruto: Shippuden)
Hapi Hapi (Crayon Shin-chan)
Odore・Dore・Dora Doraemon Ondo
W-B-X ~W‐Boiled Extreme~
Uchuu Senkan Yamato

J-POP:
RIVER
Jyoifuru
Shunkashuutoo (looks lousy when romanized, it's actually Spring Summer Autumn Winter)
Choo Choo Train
Kiseki(again? Really? Really?)

Variety:
Maneki Neko Daaku no Uta
Thriller (MJ song on Taiko, wow)
Rhythm and Police
BAROQUE HOEDOWN(didn't we just get this on the Wii? Still a great song, so I can't reject it.)

Classic:
Beethoven's Ninth Symphony
When the Saints Go Marching In
Turkish March

There's a chance there could be no Children/Folk songs in this round, and no Game Music or Namco Originals have been announced. So, again, holding my breatj.

Look closer at the Famitsu scan above. See some bosses? Yes, there's going to be another story mode. Wonder what it's going to be about this time? I expect more kicking villain ass with Taiko powers. And said villain has to have its own theme song. Wait, where's the Taiko DS3 theme song? Right, there's that too.

Released surprisingly early, on July 1st this year!
