Japanese sales chart still neck and neck

Written by pikaby

For the past three weeks now neither Sony nor Nintendo have had the upper hand on each other in terms of sales, although it's always been Sony pulling ahead by just a little every time. This is the 3rd week in a row which the console wars has been so evenly spread between the two.

Nothing's changed in the hardware sales- it's still Sony ahead of Nintendo by a bit, and the usual culprits are still all in the top ten with only a few new releases. Wii Fit Plus, Pokemon Ranger 3, Mario Kart Wii and New Super Mario Bros Wii are all still high up there, though Nier Republic stole a bit of its thunder this week(new release), selling more than 60,000 units.

Here are the hardware figures for the week of April 17 to 25:

PSP 28,758
PS3 25,629
Wii 23,691
DSi LL 16,676
DSi 10,640
DS Lite 2,789
Xbox 360 2,214
PSP go 1,544
PS2 1,490
